I have hit a brick wall. I am looking for info on a J H (John) or J M Hurley, probably born Nov30,1847, who married Eliza Ann Melton in Greene Co, Missouri around 1866. Eliza Hurley's obit says they went to California around 1866 (she was born in 1850). They had a daughter on the way to California in Nevada(Alice Mary). My grandfather, J M Hurley, born Nov 17, 1872, in Modoc Co, CA..She shows up back in Missouri with the children in the late 1800's but no husband. I can't seem to get beyond J H Hurley (or JM). I can't verify any sources on him. Any info would be appreciated.
