Were you able to find the information you wanted on Sgt. Scribner Huntoon?
In War of 1812 Veterans Records packet for Corbin Huntoon was a Letter dated October 30, 1850, from Chardon, Geauga County, Ohio to Hon. J. L. Edwards, ____ of Pensions, Washington City, D.C., signed by James Hathaway. "I herewith transmit to your office five Applications for Bountyland to wit: Scribner Huntoon, Corbin Huntoon, Howard S____ and the two applications for Richmond Clapp..."

It is my understanding that Sergeant Scribner Huntoon served with Capt. Thomas Currier's Co. of NH from 1 Feb 1813 to 31 Mar 1813.
