At numerous websites, I have seen the name Zilpha Meadows cited as the wife of Thomas Huntley, Sr. (he died about 1802). According to your 1988 book about Thomas Huntley, Sr., his wife was actually named Sarah. Sarah was proven with documentation, but Zilpha Meadows was just a rumor.
I find it inconceivable that in 2009, Huntley descendants are still saying that Zilpha Meadows was Thomas Huntley's wife.
I also understand that the tombstone on the purported grave site of Thomas Huntley and his wife is recent, not historic. Zilpha Meadow is cited on this tombstone, but is it true?
For the benefit of Huntley descendants, will you please reiterate your position on the true identity of Thomas Huntley's wife.
