Thank you for the check of your records. The information that I got were just some notes from his Civil War records and census records that showed his place of birth as "Vermont". Also a few old clippings from old "local newspapers" at http://news.nnyln.net/ remarked that his son Arthur had went to St Albans,VT a few times to visit family.

Every few years I try to connect my Huntingtons with "the rest of the family" and usually find something new each time. You see, there was a a bit of a rift in the family a few generations back, and records were omitted. I believe that everyone with actual first hand knowledge of the events are gone now (unless there are some around that are over 120 years old or so), but deleted records form a very formidable and permanent gap.
