Born March 22,1826; m (1) Carrie E. Stowell, Oct 1855; (2) Julia M. Stevens, Nov. 18, 1858. President of the Iowa Prisoners' Aid Association. During the Civil War was chaplain of 27th Regiment, Michgan Infantry. Graduate of Harvard, 1852.

Charles S. b April 3, 1861
Nathaniel S. b. Feb 18, 1863; a physician in City Hospital, Boston, Mass. Graduate of Harvard 1884.
