Thanks for the link to this very interesting survey plat concerning George Hunter.
In both of the books that I have, "Directory of Scottish Settlers in North America, 1625-1825" and "Directory of Scots in the Carolinas, 1680-1830" the death date of George is shown to have been 10 July 1755 in Charleston.
I am hoping to receive the copies from the two Will book from South Carolina that I found one day this week, and I hope that this will be cleared up. When I receive the copies, I'll let you know what they have.
