Hello, I am trying to find a new tie with Joseph Hunter married 1764 Burlington, New Jersey. As I was looking at the New Jersey marriage database, I found another Hunter whom may be the brother of Joseph. If we can search for him maybe we can hit a connection. The possible brother may be John Hunter. Here is what I found.... Hunter, John, Burlington, and Mary Stratton, Burlington 1773 Hunter, Joseph, Burlington, and Mary Gilmer, Hunterdon 1764 I am not stating that he is the brother, but I think we might have a connection as I said. I am however pretty certain that Joseph and Mary (Gilmer) Hunter's first child was Enoch A Hunter born 1765 New Jersey. I also believe that Enoch A Hunter (1765) was the father of John Hunter (1809, Pennsylvania) The reason for this is.... #1 John and Enoch were in the same county in Pennsylvania. #2 They both moved to Dearborn County, Indiana around the same time #3 John named his first born son (my great great grandfather Enoch A Hunter. I also believe that both Enoch's (1765) middle name is Allen. That is what Enoch (1844, John's son) middle name was. He named his son (my great grandfather) Walter Allen Hunter. Sorry for the long post, I hope that we can all work together on this. I'm hoping this information isn't old to some people!! Thanks Josh Hunter (clan_hunter@yahoo.com) or (partyanimal690@yahoo.com) Notify Administrator about this message?
