I am looking for a Hycum (sp) Hunter who would have been in Arkansas in the early 1930's. He would have been my grandfather. My grandmother's name was Chloe Balentine, and was very young when she had my mom, between the ages of 13 and 16. All she ever told my mom is that her fathers name was Hycum Hunter. No one knows what happened to him and Chloe never talked about him, except for a story she told about Mr. Hunter being killed while walking a tightrope accross a river, which I have no way of confirming, and have not been able to find any record of it. My mom was born in 1933 in Big Flat, Ar, which had to be where Chloe and Mr. Hunter met because she had never been out of that area. Chloe left my mom with her grandfather and ran off to CA after she was born, so I suppose it's possible Mr Hunter may have also been there. I just don't know. If anyone has any tidbit of info they would share with me, I would really appreciate it.
