Have you tried looking at the Cherokee Rolls to see if you can find any of your names? Rolls of tribal members and their families were taken at various points in time and for various purposes. Go to the official websites for the Cherokee Tribe in Oklahoma and for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee and look for a list of books containing Cherokee Rolls. There are several books in print, depending on the time period and area you are researching. The Cherokee kept excellent records while there is scant information available for other tribes.
