I think that they left out one generation. I have Theophilus son of Reuben, Sr & 2nd. wife Sarah Speight; Reuben son of Isaac & ??; Isaac son of Nicholas; son of William of Nansemond.

Nicholas with Rebecca, his wife, gave power of attorney to Thomas Rountree to convey tracts of land in Nansemond Co, Va. Sold 120 acres on 25 March 1729 to William Hunter. sold 100 acres on 24 April 1729 to Isaac Hutner.

Isaac is not named in the will of his father Nicholas Hunter, but the proof of his paternity is given in deeds. This is not my line of descent, but I research all lines. I descend through Nicholas's daughter Kezziah Mitchell.

Mentioned in Deed: "Isaac Hunter, Jr. to Isaac Hunter, Sr, 384 acres, part of a patent ot Wm. Hunter, late of Virginia and given by him to his son Nicholas Hunter, and by him sold to his son Isaac Hunter on Meherrin Swamp, issuing out of Bennetts Creek.

Thomas Rountree, attorney for Nicholas and Rebecca Hunter to Isaac Hunter, 100 acres on SE side of Meherrin Swamp, adjoining patent sold to Wm. Hunter. Test: Wm. Hunter, Charles Rountree.
