The Hunts of East Hendred
My Hunt ancestors were firmly rooted for centuries -- even before the Conquest, perhaps -- in the villages of the Vale of the White Horse in Oxfordshire/Berkshire. They were centered on the village of East Hendred. I have written a monograph on my family as I know it, stemming from Thomas Hunt of East Hendred who was born in the early 1700s/late 1600s. The family is clearly related to a vast cousinage in the heart of Anglo-Saxon England. Any one interested may consult my family tree at:
