I'm assuming the 1906 picture is the earlier one. The quality and type of photograph suggest that it is. In the second photo, the trees look larger, but one has been removed to accommodate the added on porch and sidewalk, I'm assuming. There are at least nine children, at least six that look like girls, in the photo - so I'm assuming this was my grandmother and her cousins, probably one of which is your grandmother (which would actually be her niece). Mabel's siblings would have been much too old by this time. There is a white picket fence off to the left of the house as you're facing it and you can see part of the neighbor's house on the other side.
There is also some detailing above the porch, like diamond shapes in the woodwork. This part is painted white.
The earlier photo has another person in it that is unidentified - an older woman that is probably Mabel's grandmother. Jeremiah and Katherine look older than their age (49 and 47) but then it is probably appropriate for that time period. The other woman must be Katherine's mother, as Jeremiah's died before Mabel was born.
To save all the confusion, you can send me your email address and I'd be glad to send you the photos.
