I have Rutha Katherine (possibly C.) Hunnicutt, b. 18 Oct 1814 in Montgomery Co., NC, married Charles R. Long on 4 Feb 1829 Montgomery Co., NC, d. 13 Nov 1890 Haleyville, Winston Co., AL.They were in Haywood Co., NC then moved on to Lumpkin Co., AL. Her tombstone has her name as Rutha K. Honeycutt Long. One of her children was named Dicey D. Long, and you mentioned a sister Dicy of Elizabeth's. According to a post by Stephanie Booth, #744, she "found a marriage record for Dicy J. Hunacutt, daughter of Joseph Hunacutt, in Haywood County, North Carolina and witnessed by Charles R. Long." This is our Charles R. Long, so it would apprear they're sisters.I've seen the marriage cert at Ancestry.com...
Bride: Dicy J Hunacutt
Groom: Jackson Cagdale
Bond Date: 02 Mar 1837
County: Haywood
Record #: 01 013
Bondsman: Charles Long
Bond #: 000065021
Comment: Daughter of Joseph
This is from North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868
I've also posted to Ali Chase concerning Re: Eli Tillinger Hunnicutt N.C. and GA, post #395. Any help would be appreciated.
