Mike, Let me know if you get this message. Saw your post and it is a good while back. My ggggggrandfather was Hartwell Hunnicutt. His daughter Lucy married to Richard Thomas and they married in May 31, 1803 in Surry VA. They is also another Hartwell Hunnicutt who was born in Va. but moved to SC and died there 7 Sept. 1821.

My Hartwell Hunnicutt was married to Mary Seward of Surry, VA. they married 15 Feb. 1779.

Why I am looking at your post of Thomas Benton Hunnicutt is because Thomas is my line and My Ggrandfather was Benton Davis Thomas, b. June 22, 1844 in Petersburg, VA. and my uncle was named Benton thomas Grant. Benton was a family name. Usually a first name are a second name of family members, but before Benton Davis Thomas I don't see a benton. Now Lucy Hunnicutt married to Richard thomas was Hartwell Hunnicutt daughter. I wonder if Lucy had a brother named Benton are another family member. Where did Benton come into our line.

Lucy's son was Edwin Thomas, (Edwin had Grandson named Henry Benton Thomas
and Edwin had son Benton Davis Thomas.(my ggrandfather) thought this might help you some how find your Hartwell Hunnicutt. there must have been a lot of Hartwell Hunnicutt. Just thought it funny we have Thomas and Benton and hunnicutt in our line. Do you all go back to VA. Surry co. Va.????? Let me know what your line is if you can. Who was thomas Benton Hunnicutt Father and mother? Best wishes, Jean thomas Grant Rigney
