There is a William Hungerford in the Daughters of The American Revolution Patriot Index.
This name may go back many generations to Walter De Hungerford, B 22 June, 1378, Farley, Somerset, Englandwho marriedSeptember 18, 1402 Catherine Peverell, Born in 1381
In any case my ex-husbands family's paternal line connected with the Salisbury's. I don't know if this will be of any help but I will share it hoping that it does. Philip Salisbury Lang was b. 23-Feb-1910 in Faribault, Minnesota. His father was Arthur Henry Lang, b.26-Jul-1879, Fairbault, Minnesota. Arthur d. Abt. 17-Mar-1934, Minneapolis, Minnesota (Of Hennepin Co.). Arthur's wife was Helen Beatrice SALISBURY, b.1879, [I don't know where]. She d. 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Of Hennepin Co.)
Her father was Alfred E. Salisbury, b. 10-Mar-1842, Saint Armand, Quebec, Canada, and d. 19-Mar-1934, Minnesota .[ I would guess Minneapolis.]He married Abigail Caroline Squire on 26-Jul-1904, in Canada.
Alfred's father was Lawrence SALISBURY b. Connecticut, who m. Parthenia HUNGERFORD presumably before Bef. 1842, as Alfred was born 10-Mar-1842, in Saint Armand, Quebec, Canada.
FOLLOWING IS A LETTER I RECEIVED IN 1994 FROM HUGH SALISBURY:

Dear Ms. Lang
My son John Salisbury has given me your letter re. Salisbury family. We are definitely related as my great grandfather George M. Salisbury was Alfred E's brother.Their father was Lawrence Salisbury, mother was Parthenia Hungerford.
Lawrence and his wife are in a cemetery on our farm and their gravestones are still intact.Alfred was born in St. Armand, Quebec in 1844.Family moved to Sutton in 1848.Alfred had three brothers (George, Stewart & Elmore).
Alfred and Elmore both went to Minnesota to farm.My grandfather worked for his uncles as a young man for 2 years at Mankato.
The Salisbury's came to Canada about 1792 from the Mohawk Valley in New York State. As they were Empire Loyalists their lands were seized after the American Revolution. Some research seems to indicate that they were Dutch as most of the settlers from that area came to America from Holland. The name was apparently Van Salzbergen. [ VAN SALZBERGEN ]After generations it evolved to Salisbury.Lawrence Salisbury's father was Jasper Salisbury.
Some of the descendants of Alfred & Elmore moved to California but I have no knowledge of what part.I will try to find more information on Abigail Hungerfordand will send you anything I can find.
I hope this will be of help.If there is anything else I can help you with feel free to ask.
Sincerely yours,
Hugh Salisbury,
