Hello Rhonda Sue:

I just got done reading about you being taken home from the hospital in a Pulaski Democrat newspaper. Small world.

I've been trying to figure Israel out for a while now. I had not connected Jonas Walter to Israel--until now he was another mystery. There are two Israel's I've found in census records. One fellow was born in 1827 in Vermont and is alive past 1855. The other gentleman was born Israel Day Hungerford on March 20, 1807 and was baptized in New Salem, NY on 7 Jun 1807. His parents were Jonathan & Catherine Elizabeth (Houghtaling) Hungerford. This man can be traced back to the first Hungerford of the northern branch of the American family--Thomas of Hartford, CT.

Israel's wife was Eliza Farr. I show only a Charles Hungerford as a son. I would love to get more info about the large family in Fort Plain--I think that would clean up a lot of "loose ends" in the Hungerford family tree. I look forward to hearing from you.
