I could not decipher that word, thank you for helping me out. On some of her papers, I have found her listed as maiden name of oal, or owl. So, I assumed that oal, meant owl in either slovak or hungarian. But, they also spoke Russian. My grandfather always said he was russian. But, in looking at early records he was listed as being rusyn. My gr-grandmothers mother's maiden name was, I believe, Mary Tanga according to my grandfathers records. I could not deciper that in the ellis records either. Thanks for the help on location.
