Doreen,

"Galszecs, Zpl." refers to what is today the town of Sec'ovce, in the area of former Zemplin County in today's eastern Slovakia. However, while Erzi (short for a form of Elizabeth) Mazur reported Galszecs as the last residence in the Old Country for herself and her children, she reported her their birthplace as "Kereplye," which is today's village of Kravany, 5 miles north of Sec'ovce. She also reports her mother as the closest relative she left behind, but unfortunately, although the given name is clearly Maria, the surname (and therefore Erzi's maiden name) is difficult to read. My best guess would be Rapavi, but without much confidence.
