Bud,
It is my understanding, though I could be wrong, that the line is:
William I + Marianna Walker
William II
David
Lewis
Edwin
James T. (my Dad)
This is very simplified, of course. Most families had more than one wife & 8 to 10 or more children.
Rather than just researching one line, I am sort of interested in them all.I especially am interested in the intermarriages between the Jollys, McCraws, Bridges, Humphries and others families.
Also, it appears that there are several Humphries sources.Looks like (as far as the UK is concerned) the Humphries were originally in Wales and had to leave for religious reasons. Some Humphries went to Ireland, then to America; some went to England, then to America (William I); and some directly from Wales. That may also is probably a simplification.I hope someone can link them all together in Wales, but that may not be us.
I wonder if when a Humphries marries a Humphries, it may not always be a cousin from the William I line; but from one of the other groups (we know that the Charles Humphries family was around also).
Any one have a handle on all of this??
Linda
