Charlene,
I am descended from Sylvester Adams, second son of John Adams and Susannah Wood, m. 1756. Sylvester brought his wife, 7 children, and 6 nieces and nephews from Virginia to Humphreys County, TN, around 1805. This is my line:
John Adams (~1730) / Susannah Wood (b. ?) m. 1756
Sylvester Adams (1760) / Rebekah Boyd (1770) m.1792
Sylvester Adams (1800) / Anna Mitchell (1808) m. 1838
Benjamin Sylvester Adams (1847) / Mary E. Waynick (1847) m. 1866
David Sylvester Adams (1871) / Daisy Ringgold Edge (1874) m. 1916
First, I want to confirm that the Mary White who was married to John Humphries is the mother of my Susannah Wood. If she is, I would like to know the key dates in her timeline (birth date, marriage dates, children's birth dates, etc.). There seem to be multiple people with the same names and I am having trouble sorting this out.
Second, I would like to know who Mary White's parents are and who Richard Wood's parents are.
Any insights will be most appreciated.
Lori
