The October 2007 issue of ANTIQUES magazine on p. 41 pictures a needlework sampler in an advertisement that memorializes the death of William S. Humphreys, age 11 months, on 24 February 1811, probably in Massachusetts. The sampler says nothing more about him. This fine sampler should be made known to the Humphreys family. I am scanning it in case any in the family might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value but it surely has a whole lot of family & artistic value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a sampler about a Pease family member, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
