Seeking information on the parents of David Humphreys,
born in VA, February 1779; died in Harrison CO, KY, 25 February 1866. He came to Kentucky about 1800 and settled in Harrison CO, where on 16 April 1812 he married "Mary Polly" Coleman, daughter of Cpt. Francis Coleman of Spotsylvania CO, VA. I have traced the Coleman line further back, but have not been able to do so with the Humphreys line. It is possible David Humphreys also came from Spotsylvania CO. Any information/clues would be appreciated.
