Humphrey/Humphreys Relatives,
Hi, my name is Wally Caviness of Bellingham, Washington and I am looking for relatives of my great grandfather Francis Marion Humphrey (went by his middle name,Marion) niece Erma Humphreys.
Erma was the 7th child of Albert Monroe Humphreys b.(1877-1957 and Clara Gertrude Holcomb-(1875-1954).
Erma was born in 1911 in Fulton County, AR. and I believe she died in 1975 in Kansas. She never married and was a nurse.
Erma describes the life on a hill farm south of Mammonth Springs,AR. in the Ozarks before the age of mechanized machinery. The original draft of the was written in 1953. Her mother supplied her pertinent facts and dates before her death in 1954. The final draft was printed in 1976 when she was in Fort Dodge, Kansas.
I would appreciate any photo's or geneology information you might share with me in getting a better understanding of my great grandfather Marion's family.
There is a picture of my gg Marion with Erma's dad and then there is one with Marion his wife Amanda (Sis), (Moody-on tombstone in the Shilo Cem.) GG Amanda is smoking her corncob pipe.
