I do not have a lot of information. But maybe some of this will help.
Reuban Humphreys was born in 1832 in Kentucky. He died on June 14, 1908 in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Reuban died in the Nebraska Hospital for the Insane in Lancaster County. He is buried in Johnson, Nemaha County, Nebraska.
Hannah D Johnson Humphreys, his wife, was born September 20, 1863. She was born in 1846 in Indiana. Hannah died in 1928 and is buried in McCook, Nebraska.
The entire family listing can be found at Ancestry.com. Go to global search and enter Humphreys, Reuban.
The most complete and accurate is posted by Judy Poquette, under JPoqu62171. I have been in touch with her regarding George W. Humphreys. George marries the child of one of my great great Uncle, Peter Bright.
Peter Bright marries Kate Buckles in Nebraska on November 23, 1880. About 1882 they have a child, Ethel Bright.
By 1889, Peter has disappeared. Family records show that in 1914, when his mother's will was in probate, a statement was filed with the court to declare him dead and declare his daughter Ethel Humphreys his sole heir.
We are still looking for Kate. Ethel marries George W Humphreys in Nebraska about 1902. Their address on February 17, 1913 is recorded as Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas. However, I have not been able to find them.
We know there were at least two children, Florence and Marvin.
Judy tells me that sometime between 1910 and 1920 George drowns in the Mississippi River and the Humphreys family feels that Ethel and her mother had a hand in his death. I have not been able to locate any information on this. What I did find was a listing for a George W Humphreys working with a CHarles E Buckles in the Post Office in Miami County, Ohio in 1909. The reason this is interesting 1) the connection with the Buckles family. Kate Buckles was Ethel's mother. The Buckles family all came from Miami County, Ohio. 2) it place George W Humphreys at a specific place around the time of his death.
Anyway, please use any information that may help you and if I find anymore I will let you know.
