My first source is the Humiston Genealoy by George and Louise Humiston. It says:
Leva (Humiston) (Hotchkiss) Bliss, daughter of titus and Beulah (Batchelor) Humiston, b. August 17, 1780; married 1 in 1800, Charles Todd Hotchkiss, son of David Hotchkiss of Windsor, New York, b. 1776, d. 1812; married 2, Mr. Bliss.

Second, a few years ago, I was in touch with a direct descendant, Melissa. She added: Leva's tombstone says "Leve Hotchkiss Bliss". Information from Melissa, a descendant of Leva Humiston and her son Titus Hotchkiss.

Cortland Co., New York genweb has this listing:

Cortland County, NY, Glenwood Cemetery - Homer
BLISS William Y. d. April 23 , 1821 aged 41 yrs. (Leva's second husband, William Young Bliss)

BLISS Leve Hotchkiss wife of William Y. d. July 4 , 1865 aged 85 yrs.

HOTCHKISS Charles T. d. September 1 , 1812 aged 35 yrs.

Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection)
Name: Charles Todd Hotchkiss
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 24 Jun 1776
Birth Location: Waterbury
Parent Name: David
Parent Name: Peninah

History of Cortland Co. 1885

Chapter XX
There are records of land sales in this vicinity , made by Elkanah Watson prior to 1800 , and from that time to 1812, scores of transfers of lands in and about Port Watson are on record. A few of these sales will be interesting :---
In 1800 Watson sold to Charles Todd Hotchkiss , 100 acres on lot 41 (see map) for 80 pounds.

Broome Co., NY genweb mentions David Hotchkiss, father of Charles Todd Hotchkiss, and Titus Humiston, father of Leva Humiston. Titus was my 4G Grandfather. David and Titus both coming from Connecticut.

I have children for Leva and Charles Hotchkiss as Milo, Luke, Titus, Calvin, and Flora.
