John Frankin Humes b.ca 1874 TN or KY, married Sarah Murray

My great grandmother was Tressie Ann Humes. She was born in Red Boiling Springs, TN in 1899. I've always been told her father was John Franklin Humes but the census has her listed in 1900 as Tressie Fawbush. I know her mother Sarah Francis Murray married John Humes but I'm not sure when because I can find NOTHING about him at all! The Murrays moved in and out of Kentucky and TN so I'd expect to find him in there somewhere. I know Tressie had an older sister named Ivy and a younger sister named Mary, but her last name was definitely Bledsoe. Do these people sound familiar to anyone?? I have a lot of info on the Murrays but none on the Humes side at all.
