Has anyone any new info on this subject? I am a descended through Rev. George's son John Hume born 1782 and who was supposedly Lewis Hume's older brother. My grandmother, Ruth Hume West, compiled the family history in the 1960's and it seems as though she relied heavily on Dr Hume's 1904 book....She has Rev. George as being the son of William and his second wife "miss" granville...The first wife was supposedly susan elzaphan...I can say that I have a few Granville Humes in my line...

In Dr. Hume's book, He only has my line to Rev. Geroge's son John (b. 1782) marrying Nancy "Betsey" Coleman and I have the rest of my line from my grandmother's research after that.

I would love to verify that I am indeed descended from George Hume, the Emigrant.
