I'm searching for the ancestors of David Hume who married Elizabeth King some time before 1776. This was in England or Scotland.
They had a child, David, born 1776. He in turn married Rebecca Kettle in 1842. He later died in Essex, England, in 1853.
For some odd reason, the 1851 census lists David Hume as Darold married to Rolesan, not Rebecca, but I'm fairly sure they are the same people because the names of their children (mary ann, goerge, james, abraham, joseph and samuel) are right.
I would think the David Hume I'm looking for, who married Elizabeth King, would have been born in the early 1700's, in England or Scotland.
Anhy help would be appreciated.
I have tried to come at this from the other side, but all the Hume/Home lines I trace don't give me a David born anywhere near the right time.
