Hi Catherine, I am so glad to see someone reply after such a long time.
My great grandfather was John Harrison Harvey. I accidently found an article at the Trent Valley Archives about 5 years ago about the marriage of John Harrison Harvey to Ethel Maud Hume on April 19, 1883 in Peterborough.
It is definitely him as his father's name matches our records, Wm. Henry Harvey and Bargy Castle is mentioned in Scotland, an old family castle.
Now the interesting part is my great grandmother was not the Hume lady but Alwilda Jane Carl of Coboconk and they were married in 1885, 2 years after his marriage to Hume.
No one in the family is aware of this first marriage, do you have any history on this Hume lady? I assume she died perhaps in child birth. I dearly hope you have heard of her.
