John Hume b. 1732 Culpeper Co. VA 3rd son of George

I have been collecting information on John Hume and his contemporaries for a number of years in an effort to determine who he married and where he relocated. I hope to publish my findings. I have narrowed the possibilities to either the John Hume who settled in Campbell Co., KY leaving VA in 1787 or the John Hume who settled in Jefferson County, KY around 1780. Currently I feel the circumstantial evidence is strongest for John Hume, the 3rd son, having settled in Jefferson Co., KY. Neither of these John Humes could be the son of William Hume, as they both had children in 1766 when William's son, who is said to have been killed by Indians, would have been only 10 or 11 years old. Both of them appeared to have been residents of Culpeper Co., VA before moving to Kentucky. If there is anyone else working on this problem, I would welcome collaboration or a chance to compare notes.
