HUME/HOLMES, David: ca. 1651, Charlestown, MA

Trying to determine if David Hume listed on the manifest of the 'John & Sarah' in 1651 is the same person as David Holmes of colonial Massachusetts at Dorchester.

I recently expanded my Holmes line and find numerous references to David Holmes as the initial immigrant from Scotland who arrived in MA as an indentured servant after being on the losing side of the Battle of Worchester.

I find no proof for this claim.

Thanks.

Vince
