I am looking for information on my great grandfather who emigrated from Varmland, Sweden, possibably the Filipsad area. He was born Jul. 28, 1861 and came over by himself at age 16. He lived (and married) in Chicago, Il. from approximately 1877? to 1892. He then moved to McGregor, Iowa. He married Caroline W. Olson who emigrated from Jamtland, Sweden. They had 6 children: Arthur Otto, Edwin Bernard, Carl W., Elmer G., Agnes and John Alexis.
