G'Day from Aus,
I am researching the family of HULME/HOULME/HOLME of Ormskirk, Lancashire....

My 5xgrt Grandmother, Elizabeth HULME was bapt.8 October 1693, Scarisbrick, Ormskirk. She married John SERGEANT, 18 May 1721 at St Michael and All Angels, Croston. The family then moved to Leyland where they had four children, Elizabeth, James, John and another John.

Elizabeth was the dau of Thomas HULME and Esther INGRAM who were married 1 December 1681 at Ormskirk. I am unable to locate ANY information on Esther Ingram.

Thomas was bapt.1 August 1660 at Ormskirk, the son of William HOULME and his unknown wife. They had three other children, with differing spellings of the surname: Isabell HOLM, John HOLME and William HOLME, Thomas was bapt a HULME.

Thomas' father, William was bapt.25 September 1636, the son of Peter HOULME and the brother of William HOULME, Henrie HOOLME and Thomas HULME.

I am unable to locate any further information. Ancestors and descendants are gladly welcomed.
Best regards,
Michelle Kahler,
Nth Ipswich, Qld, Aust.
