Your direct ancestor, James Hullier who married Mary Wiseman, was the son of either of the two brothers: John Hullier 1754 Brinkley or Henry Hullier 1763 Brinkley. These two brothers were sons of the elusive “John Hullier of Borough Green” and his wife Elizabeth Coe.
So, whether John or Henry was the father of your ancestor James, his grandparents remained the same i.e. John Hullier and Elizabeth Coe.
Unfortunately there is no way of determining which of the two brothers (John or Henry) was James’ father. I have checked the marriage entry for James Hullier and Mary Wiseman but the name of James’ father is not given.
The christening details for James Hullier are:
17 February 1799 James son of John and Hannah at Carlton
26 May 1799 James son of Henry and Elizabeth at Carlton.
If your James is the son of John and Hannah then he is the younger brother of my direct ancestor, William Hullier 1785 Brinkley. John and Hannah moved from Brinkley to Carlton about 1796.
If your James is the son of Henry and Elizabeth then he is the cousin of my direct ancestor, William Hullier 1785 Brinkley.
Well Linda we are definitely related, sharing the same direct ancestors: the elusive “John Hullier of Borough Green” and his wife Elizabeth Coe.
Do you think we might share the Hullyer likeness? Would you like to write to me at my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
