D.C. COWLES did a full day's grind at his grist mill Friday and gave satisfaction to his customers.

There has been some inquiry as to the price of calves and on account of the fine crops they range from ten to twelve dollars per head.

The hay crop is turning off more to the acre than was really expected.

Four or five couples from Eden attended the basket meeting near Lineville last Sunday.

A company from Kansas City have been viewing the situation of Eden City and anticipate building a large packing house in the near future and also a canning factory, which will give considerable employment to the working class of people.

The outlook will be excellent this fall for hogs and products.

J.C. STUDLEY is going to start a goose ranch. White oak acorns is good feed.

MR. and MRS. ALBERT HAMILTON were made happy Saturday by the arrival of a bouncing boy. Dr. Wailes reports all doing well.

MARION HULLINGER and wife of Marion Co. were visiting in this vicinity the past few days.

JOHN GIBLER visited at O.L. CRAIG's Sunday.

MELVEN DOTSEN and his best girl, MISS WHEELER, attended Sabbath School last Sunday.

ELISHA NORTHCUTT and his sweetheart were in attendance at the Hardscrabble Sunday School.

The boys had better quit their bad behavior as they were warned for the last time Sunday.

MISS BETTIE VANDERPOOL, residing near Eden Center School House, accompanied by several other young ladies attended the Sunday School at Hardscrabble.
