Hi Christina,

Yes, Daniel Hullinger born 1786 who was married to Comfort was the son of Daniel Hullinger, Sr. and Ann Shockey. Daniel born 1786 was Christopher's brother.

Someone long ago got confused and said that Daniel P, son of Christopher, was the one who married Comfort and that indeed is not the case. So you've got it right. Some folks have Comfort's maiden name as Cornwell, however she had a son named Jesse Conway Stanton and he was named after his mother's maiden name. Comfort's name was Comfort Staunton when Daniel Jr. married her, her first husband was my ancestor.

I have another Hullinger connection, my great-great grandfather was William Hullinger born 1820 who married Orelia Johnson, they lived in Marion County, OH.
I haven't identified the father of William Hullinger conclusively however.

Thanks for your reply. Sharon Parrish, IN
