I noticed your posting on GenForum regarding Jesse Hull. Our articles in the Hull Family Association Journals have pretty well proven that (Wm.?) Jackson Hull was NOT the father of Jesse Hull, as published in Dave Boatman's Hull Family Register. These articles were researched very thoroughly and based on many original sources. Information in genealogies is quite often incorrect, because it is based on "family stories." And that is the case with (Wm.?) Jackson Hull. There is also no evidence that he had a wife Sally.
Iissued a book on the Hulls who served in the American Revolution. My book carries 21 references for (Wm.?) Jackson Hull. I arrived at the same conclusion as the authors of the HFA Journal articles. We reached this conclusion independently of each other. Therefore, the material on the ancestors of Jesse Hull should be considered incorrect as found in The Hull Family Register.
Now DNA analysis has also shown that this line does not go back to the Rev. Joseph Hull, as depicted in The Hull Family Register.
