I have been doing research online on the Hulick family, and thought someone here might be able to provide some information.
I am searching to prove that Henry Hulick (b. 1808, PA, m. Sophia W. Docker, and resided in Indiana) is the son of Isaac Hulick and Maria Monfort of Conewago, Adams, PA. I believe this to be true for a couple of circumstantial reasons: Isaac seems to be the only Hulick in PA with sons the right ages to be Henry and his brother David; and both Henry and David named their first-born son Isaac.
Also, I would like to find out the parents of Isaac. How is he related to the Hendrick Gulick/Hulick immigrant? There is a Wendle Hulick listed near Isaac on the 1800 Mount Joy, Adams, PA census who was born before 1755. Is this Isaac's father? If so, how is he related?
I understand that the Dutch Gulick was sometimes transliterated as Hulick according to the sound of the language. If anyone has any information on this line, I would love to hear from you! My email address is email@example.com.
