TO HOLD RITES TODAY
FOR O.M. DARDEN, 64,
Webb City, Mo., Oct 26, --Funeral
services for O.M. Darden, 64 years old
who died at 2:40 o'clock Sunday morning
at his farm, home, four miles north of Oronogo
will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon
at the chapel of the Webb City Undertaking Company
The Rev. Ralph Roland, pastor of the Methodist church
will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the residence untill noon
Tuesday and then be brought to the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Olson, Willie Weaver
Paul Hammond, Jack Olson, Ralph Weaver
and Dave Marshall.
Mr. Darden lived in the distric all his life. He
was born at Diamond, and lived for 42 years in Webb City
and Jasper. For the last 14 years, he had lived on the farm
where he died. He formerly was a mill builder.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Myrta Darden ; a daughter,
Mrs Cecil Godsey of Oronogo route 1;
a brother Frank Darden of Oronogo route 1
and four sisters, Mrs. Rose Witzansky of Webb City
Mrs. Myrt Follis of Sarcoxie, Mrs. Carrie Hulen of Tulsa, OK
and Mrs. Vesper Foust of Miami, OK
