I have been researching the HULANCE family history for the last 15 years. During this time I have come across many variants of the HULANCE name including HULINS,HULANS,ULANS, HULINGS, HEWLINS, HEWLINGES, HUELENCE etc, etc. My direct family line has been traced as follows:
circa 1770 to present living in the village of Alderton Wiltshire county and the city of Bristol - England
circa 1620-1770 living close to Stonehouse vilage - Gloucestershire county. Prior to these dates there is only speculation as I have not been able to verify direct relationships, however in the Oxford book of English surmanes my family were first mentioned living close to London in the early 13th century. Prior to this there is strong evidence to suggest that my family had come from north western Europe.
