Hi Jill
I have Henry & Charlotte on the periphery of my family tree, but we have not done much research into that particular branch! The info I have was researched some years ago by a relative.
I have Henry b19.9.1819 in France? He enlisted in the 3rd Hussars in 1845 & spent 10yrs in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) where he served as Assistant Staff Surgeon on the Medical Staff. He m8.3.1848 in Hobart (He 28, she 18) He served in the Crimean War & was later Staff Surgeon at Chatham & Aldershot. He retired due to ill health & d1873 in Plymouth. I believe he had 4 sisters but I do not have any data on any of their descendants.
I have some info on his parents & grandparents. We are currently having another attempt at finding information on Henry's grandparents (my Gt,Gt,Gt,Gt Grandparents), Henry HUISH & Charity HEMENS (Hemmens?)
I would be delighted to exchange information and to learn of your interest in the family.
Best wishes
Mike (mikehuish@hotmail.com)
