That would be Ambroise, Daniel, Daniel, James.(TWO Daniels)
The first one arrived from France by way of England with his Dad, Ambroise, about `1685
The second one was born in New Rochelle, NY in 1698
Lt James Secord and his son, Sgt Stephen (Etienne) Secord, were both Loyalists who fought with Butler's Rangers during the Americaqn revolution.
We have FIVE Loyalist ancestors. James Secord, Stephen Secord, Simon De forest (father of Hannah) Mary McGinnis De Forest (wife of Simon She got it for him) and Sarah Kast McGinnis (mother of Mary) Sarah's husband, Timothy McGinnis was a Capt in the Provincial Army (Leatherstocking type) and died at Lake George fighting Indians in Sept 1755.
Your David fought in the War of 1812.
James is buried in Butlers Burying Ground, NOTL (Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON and Stephen and his wife Hannah De Forest are buried in Warners Burying ground, St Davids, near St Catherines, ON.
