My ggg grandfather, Evan E HUGHS/HUGHES, was b. between 1856-1865 in NC. Evan and Wife, Hannah UNK., lived in Chatham Co., NC, had children. Polly was b. abt. 1796, m. Frank Robert Elkins, removed to Jackson Co., IN, she was buried there. Elias was b. abt. 1797, Jos. J., b. 1801, Evan E., b. 1807, Sarah "Sally", b. abt. 1813, Anna, and possibly others (Wm.etc.) were their children.
Evan, b. bet. 1856-1865, and Hannah migrated to Henderson Co., TN in 1834, and Evan died before 1840 census.
Does anyone know who Evan's parents were, and where they migrated from, when they moved to NC?
NOTE: Their son, Evan E. also married a Hannah (BRAY) (my gg grandparents), migrated to Henderson, Co., TN, then to St. Francis Co., AR.
Names frequently used in this line are: Evan,Joseph,Thomas, Jesse, William, Allison (both male and female), Preston, Orin/Oran/Aaron, John.
