Looking for more info on John Layton Hughes born 6/28/1854 in OH, died 9/23/1934 in OK. Married Mildred Etta Wilkins (my great aunt) 11/18/1891. She had a daughter, Stella b. 6/1889 IA from a previous marriage. Stella used the last name Hughes and I wiould like to know the name of her natual father...a professional baseball player (according to my grandmother). John and Mildred had a daughter, Jessie b. 8/1/1893 d. 10/17/1976 IA.
Mildred died in 1895 of T.B. in IA. I wish to find out why John went to OK, if he ever remarried and what happened to Stella. Anyone know anything?
