Will of Elizabeth Hughes, dated 28 Sep 1836, Probated 19 Dec 1836.State of Alabama, Montgomery County.
I, Elizabeth Hughes, being of sound mind and
disposing mind, memory and understanding,
do make this my last will and testament.
I give, will and devise to Stephen Hughes,
my eldest son $1,000 to him and his heirs
forever.
I give, will and devise to each of my sons,
Alfred Hughes, Jackson Hughes, and
Washington Hughes, $2,000 to them and
their heirs forever.
I give and devise all the rest of my
property both real and personal to be
equally divided between my two daughters,
Eliza Hughes and Emily D. Hughes and
their heirs forever.
Executor/Executrix:Stephen Hughes and
Eliza Hughes
Witnesses:John N. Philpot, May Jeter, N.E.
