Regarding Edward Hughes (1701-1799) a book "William & Deborah Hewes" says that Edward married Hannah Zane (1704-1770) in Christ Church, Philadelphia, PA on 30 Oct 1720.

They had at least 6 children, all born in Berks, PA. The family moved to NC and then over to VA.

Hannah / Ann died abt 1770 and Edward married Elizabeth Grigsby abt 1774 in Stafford, Prince William, VA.

Can you tell me where I am going wrong? Every one has Elizabeth Grigsby and most have the marriage date as 1774 which doesn't make sense.

Thank you.
Sandy
