The movements of the people is interesting too!My particular ancestor, James Adams, went to Ray Co MO in 1837, with several other families who were from Claiborne, and Campbell Co Tennessee or Grayson Co VA.However, his children were born in NC between the years of 1825-1836.I still believe that he was in Orange Co NC when the 1830 census was done, but which one he is I am not sure. There is another James Adams who is later enumerated in Caldwell Co NC, after Orange County was divided up into Alamance and other counties. The only other Adams we have been connected to is this Asa Adams from Guilford Co.(That was established through the DNA test) In fact he is the only Adams we have had a match with, the others were different surnames. This was the "Y" test, so it's testing only the male/father's line. The Dna test did nothing to help us find our Adams, it just added further confusion!
