Isirah Hughs of Carroll Co., MS

I am curious if anyone knows about this Isirah Hughs? Back in 2005 I posted concerning a Mrs. A.E. Hughes who was buried in the Thompson Creek Cemetery in Brazos County, Texas. Since then I have found more information, but it is puzzling. A.E. Hughes appears to be Adeline Ellen Parker, wife of a William H. Hughes (so says her tombstone and their daughter's death records, but the following census data seems to fit with what descendants tell me about the children in this family. What are the odds of this family having the same 5 children with the approximate ages that we know are true: Anna, W.L., Alice, Jim, and Frank W.?

On 1870 Carroll Co., MS census HH 62/62
Isirah Hughs, age 45, b. MS, farmer
A.E. Hughs, age 35, b. MS, keeping house
Sarah A. Hughs, age 13, b. MS
William Hughs, age 10, b. MS
Allice Hughs, age 8, b. MS
James M. Hughs, age 2, b. MS
Franklin W. Hughs, age 1, b. MS

It is puzzling why the name was written down as Isirah instead of William (which was on Allie Hugh's death certificate)
It is puzzling why Frank W. Hughs was listed as 1 years old and his death records indicate his birthdate was in 1872.

However, Leflore Co., MS was created from Carroll Co., MS and by 1880 this family was listed in Leflore Co., MS

If this Isariah Hughes is the same as the William H. Hughes, then there was a Uriah Hughes listed on 1850 Carroll Co., southern division census HH 375/430 age 19 b. MS as a son to Sarah Hughes, age 47, b. MS, with sisters, Elizabeth, age 18 and Martha age 16. This is the closest I can come to this name.

Then on the Ancestry.com family trees I found the following:

A Uriah Putnam Hughes, b. abt. 1824 listed as a son of
James A. Hughes b. 3/20/1795 VA, died 5/10/1838 MS
"moved to Yellow Bushy Co., MS In year of 1838, he went back to his native state (Virginia) to get the property coming to him from his father's estate, and a girl slave. He got to the James River on his way back home and was found dead on the banks of the James River--no signs of any marks of injury. No one ever learned the cause of his death" posted by Sandra Ladewig in 2004 (VytisF@aol.com)

James was married to Sarah Russell Humphreys b. 2/20/1795 in MS and she married James on 1/5/1821 in Yallabousha Co., MS.
Their other children were listed as: Marian (1821), Martha A. (1823), Franklin, Catherine, Joseph (b. 9/9/1822), Elizabeth (b. 3/20/1832) and Isiah and Mary. It is possible that this Uriah was a brother to an Isiah which could have been the Isirah listed above? or was that a duplicate of Uriah?? VERY CONFUSING!!

If anyone knows more about the Hughes familes in Carroll or Madison Counties, in Mississippi, please write to me.
