Ennis Hughes and Mary McCain Hughes were married 14/9/1814, but I don't have the location. Ennis died in Ft. Smith Arkansas, 23/12/1833. Mary M. Hughes brought her 7 children on to Shelby Co. Texas alone. They are listed here, and I have dates and locations for most. I also have information on their spouses if you are interested or need them. The seven children were:
1. James McCain Hughes, 2. John J. Hughes, 3. Robert Trammel Hughes (my
gr. grandfather), 4. Jemima Jane Hughes, 5. William Palmer Hughes 6. Andrew Frank Hughes, 7 Ennis Craft Hughes. After Ennis Craft's marriage to Letty Weaver they moved to Mexia and took his mother Mary McCain Hughes with them. It is assumed that she died there.
All of my information is not at my fingertips, so I do not have information on Ennis' parents immediately if I have it at all. When I have more time I will look at my mother's papers for the information you requested. She did extensive research and was a contributor to Len Hughes' book.
