Hi again Virginia, I checked out my database and behold I have many families of same surnames that you're referenced in your other postings. For example: I show an Anderson/Skiffen marriage with both born c 1640 in VA. I show a number of Powell entries. /Tried and failed to connection to Thomas Powell, who, as history notes, was a cook on board the 'Sea-Venture', this vessel met with disaster while at sea and all on board were stranded on Bermuda Island until they finally managed to reach Jamestown VA in 1610. I have several Proffitt entries in Goochland, VA c 1750. Several Humphries entries. Napier. From emigrant whose descendant was famous explorer throughout VA. Purvis *several entries Phillps six or more entries Wynn or Winn (related to families in Sussex VA) Bowles from Goochland, VA...related to Lewis Wilburn I also show a Munford Ball m to Rachel Wilburn of KY. (I have No idea if this is same Ball line as related to Washington family. Just for the record, I can track my Wilburn ancestors from York, VA 1656 to Middlesex VA c 1720 to Lousia Co VA 1747 to Goochland, VA on Licking Hole Creek, to Amherst VA by c 1778, to NC and back to VA...to TN by 1807 then to eastern KY by 1835. (And of course the land deal in Highland, OH c 1810) Where Ruben and Tandy Hughes also appear with Richard Wilburn. No doubt I'm writing some very confusing stuff. But just wanted to let you know that it would appear that we two have what I refer to as "cluster families". Cheers and wish that I were in VA, right now. There's a beautiful Valley in Giles, VA in Pearisburg called 'Wilburn Valley.' Lots of Wilburns and kin rest in peace in this lovely area. Cheers again, Vikky Notify Administrator about this message?
